Yes! Our Ragdoll breeding program is registered with The Cat Fanciers’ Assocation (CFA). We operate under the name “KERR” at CFA.

We ship our kitten worldwide.

We do not offer cattery visiting hours or kitten pickups at our home. Our homeowner’s insurance does not cover in-home visits to our cattery. We also try to reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission to our cats and kittens as much as possible, so we are closed to all visitors.

With today’s technology, in-person visits have become obsolete. You can view our home and cattery environment first-hand on our social media pages. Our home/cattery is always kept meticulously clean and our cats and kittens are very well cared for.

Spay/neuter is an essential part of any ethical breeding program and it is the best choice for our kittens. Here are some proven facts about early spay/neuter in felines:

Yes! We produce health tested Ragdolls here at KERR Ragdolls. Our Ragdoll kittens come with an inital 72-hour health guarentee, as well as a 2-year genetic health guarentee. If your kitten tragically dies from the genetic health conditions of HCM or PKD before the age of 2 years old, we will replace your kitten. These guarentees are fully outlined in your kitten's Adoption Contract, which you will be sent when reserving your kitten.

I welcome the opportunity to develop relationships with other small, registered, ethical Ragdoll catteries. I will occasionally work with other breeders who already have an established program, with goals that align with my own. Any breeder I work with must practice early spay/neuter and only breed traditional, pointed Ragdolls with blue eyes (no mink, sepia, solid, etc.).

Yes, Ragdoll cats do shed. They are known for their ultra soft and beautiful, bunny-like coats. Because they lack an undercoat, Ragdolls do tend to shed less than other cat breeds. Weekly brushing and regular vacuuming helps us stay on top of shedding!

Despite what some may claim, Ragdoll cats are not hypoallergenic.

Ragdolls are fairly low-maintenance when it comes to grooming. We recommend weekly brushing/combing and nail trimming every other week. Some Ragdoll coat types may also benefit from an occasional bath.

A Ragdoll cat, when bred correctly, is a floppy, outgoing, sweet, docile and social companion kitty. They typically love snuggling and want to be involved in daily activities. They are very loyal and bond deeply with their humans.

Ragdolls are affectionately called “puppy-cats” because of how dog-like they are. They usually love playing fetch and follow their owners from room to room throughout the house. They generally get along great with dogs and other cats.

We highly discourage allowing your Ragdoll cat outdoors. Going outside exposes your cat to many potential diseases and dangers. Ragdolls have been specifically bred to be extremely gentle-natured and loving. They do not have the normal survival instincts that other cats have so they may not pick up on the potential dangers of the outside world. This leaves them very vulnerable to injury, and even death, when let outdoors. For your Ragdoll kitten’s health and safety, we highly recommend keeping them inside where they will be just as happy cuddled up with you on the couch!

Ragdolls are companion cats – they crave love, socialization and human interaction. They get very attached to their owners, making them more prone to separation anxiety. If your job requires you to be gone for the majority of the day, we highly recommend having a second kitty friend to keep your Ragdoll company!
